Manage your workspace and account

Invite members, update profiles, manage security, and understand account deletion.

Use Settings to manage the people, profile, and sign-in details for your workspace. The controls shown depend on your role, plan, and sign-in provider.

Invite and manage members

  1. Open Settings → Members. Use Search to find an existing member, or sort the table by name or join date.
  2. If Invite is available, select it and enter one or more email addresses, separated by spaces or commas. The invitation role starts as Member; choose Admin only when role management is available.
  3. Review any seat or billing confirmation shown, then send the invitations. An address that is already a member or has a pending invitation is reported rather than invited again.

When available, the Invitations tab shows pending invitations. An eligible admin can open an invitation's actions menu to select Resend invitation or Revoke invitation. To change an existing member's role, use the Admin or Member selector in their row when it is available. An admin with removal permission can open a member's actions menu and select Remove from workspace, then confirm. The only admin cannot be demoted without first assigning another admin. Some workspaces manage membership through their sign-in provider, so these actions may be unavailable.

Invitations and pending seats can affect member limits or charges; see Billing & Seats. If an invite fails because the member limit was reached, contact an administrator about seats or the workspace plan. If invitation management is unavailable, ask your workspace administrator how members are provisioned.

Create a workspace

In Settings, select New Workspace. Enter a Workspace name and select Create. Brief opens setup for the new workspace. The control is unavailable when your deployment manages workspace creation outside Brief.

Update profiles

In Settings → Profile, edit First name or Last name and select Save changes when profile editing is available. Use Avatar to upload, crop, or remove your photo. Email addresses shows the primary address and whether it is verified. If Add email address is available, enter another address and follow the confirmation link sent to it. Updating your primary email is handled separately through support. Connected accounts lists your linked sign-in providers, their email addresses when available, and whether each is verified.

In Settings → General, open Organization profile with Update profile when the control is available. Edit Name or Slug, then select Save changes. You can also upload, crop, or remove the logo; that change saves immediately. Logo uploads accept PNG, JPG, WEBP, or GIF up to 10 MB. Your workspace slug is also used in workspace-specific email addresses.

Leave or delete a workspace

To leave a workspace, open Settings → General, select Leave workspace, and confirm Leave workspace in the dialog. You lose access, though an admin can invite you again. If you are the only admin, assign another member as an admin before leaving.

Workspace deletion is a separate admin action that affects every member. In Settings → General, select Delete workspace, type the workspace name exactly as shown, then select Delete workspace to confirm. This permanently deletes the workspace for all members, cancels its subscription, and signs you out. It cannot be undone.

Security and deletion

Settings → Security contains Password, Two-factor authentication, Active devices, and Delete account when those controls are supported for your account. Use Set password or Change password in the Password row. The two-factor row requires a password before Enable two-factor auth is available; if setup directs you to Brief support, contact them to enable it. If two-factor authentication is already enabled, the row offers Disable and Regenerate backup codes. In Active devices, select Revoke beside another device, or Sign out all other devices when that action is available. The latter requires a password.

If Delete account is available, first set a password. Select Delete account, type Delete account in the confirmation dialog, select Delete account again, and enter your password when prompted. This action is permanent and irreversible. Some associated data may be retained; contact support to request full data deletion.

For integrations that use API keys, go to Settings → Integrations.
